These are some of the most exciting skin care products that have come my way in the past few months (out of hundreds I’ve reviewed online and dozens I’ve tried!!)

I hope you find something on this list that piques your interest 🙂

xxPenn

Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk

This is a nice thick cleanser that serves as both a first and second cleanse AND perfect to leave on while you have a little massage or gua sha treatment. It leaves my face so perfectly soft and supple and prepped for the next skincare step.

Buy it on Amazon

Medik8 Hydrate B5 Intense

This is a medium thickness serum that hydrates and soothes like you wouldn’t believe. But what I really love is that it soothes skin that is a bit sensitive or chapped (say from the sun or wind), I use it over an essence or toner to give my skin that extra TLC (I add layers of ceramides and an occlusive if I do needs extra care.)

(it’s the Panthenol (B5), which gives it that extra soothing property)

*I use it in the evenings when I need extra hydration.

I like to use it with mine

Jin Jung Sung Toner

Drmtlgy Peptide Moisturizer code penn save 20%

Then add Drmtlgy Soothe and Recover code penn save 20%

After it dried a bit, I put a thin layer of salve (the one I mentioned in the video is from Alba botanicals) on top and OMG the next day!!

Dear Lucy Marine Antioxidant Serum

This serum is packed with such beautiful ingredients. It’s so elegant – the packaging, the formulation and the application. While I like to layer it with multiple products, it’s the type of multipurpose serum that could help cut down on steps in a routine. I am so impressed by this female owned Canadian indie brand.

OneSkin EYE

You may have heard me rave about OneSkin FACE and BODY – I really love the whole line AND the company. But my favorite product of all is OneSkin EYE. It has the highest concentration of their proprietary peptide – which has a ton of clinical evidence to support its effectiveness in tackling aging skin from the inside out.

code penn15 save 15%

DRMTLGY Water Cream Moisturizing cream

This is a perfect moisturizer for summer (or year round if you’re closer to the equator.) Don’t let the lightweight texture fool you – it really hydrates without feeling heavy or sticky.

Dermelect Revitalite Eye Cream

This little number hydrates and brightens the under-eye area AND layers beautifully with other skincare and makeup products. I like to keep it in the fridge to add an extra coolness when applying.

DRMTLGY Microabrasion Scrub

Another winner from DRMTLGY is this gentle manual exfoliating ‘scrub’. It really helps pave the way for the rest of my nourishing skincare routine.

Dermalogica Liquid Peelfolient

This is a super quick exfoliator (it doesn’t actually exfoliate – it’s really a quick, light chemical exfoliator.) This is a perfect exfoliator before you go out on a Saturday night. The combination of fruit acids and enzymes is very cooling and gives a well rounded exfoliation that leaves such a nice glow!!

*has some fruit oils so make sure you are sensitive to them and always use SPF

Alloy

I have such enthusiasm for this company. I found out about them when I discovered their M4 Estriol Face Cream (there is such a compelling reason to feed our skin with low doses of estrogen from 40+

But beyond the M4, I have such admiration for the Alloy. I would recommend subscribing to their newsletter – their videos and other educational tools are invaluable. They are pioneering women who are changing the face of menopause health care – and making answers, resources and prescriptions available to women in all 50 states. (I get my HRT from Alloy,)

If you need resources check out MyAlloy. If your doctor doesn’t, he will!!

You can use code penn20 (affiliate) for $20 off your first purchase of any product from their site.

I encourage you to sign up for their information and at least familiarize yourself with all they have to offer educationally. They are a great resource, whether or not you try their facial product… The other information on this site is PRICELESS.
