Sharing a quick and easy homemade recipe for dog delights that your puppy will love! All you have to do is make the dough, cut it in the shape of your choice and bake.

Hi friends! How’s your week going?

For today, let’s talk about dog delicacies. I know – somewhat accidentally for a gym blog – but recently I did a subscription to my top posts last year and I noticed a lot that covered out -of -fitness issues, such as healthy homemade dog food and how to keep your guinea pig cage. This post on Homemade Dog Treats has remained one of my top positions since I first wrote it several years ago, so I wanted to give it a little update and share it again.

Also, Maisey loves them so much and insisted on spreading the word in the hope that other furious friends out there can be shared with her enjoyment.

Fast and healthy homemade dogs

Homemade dogs (fast and healthy!)

I made these dogs enjoying a whim, using some ingredients we always have at hand. Most dogs will eat almost anything, but Maisey is excited every time she gets human food bites, even fortunately to crumple the foods I expected to appear on her nose. He loves simple chicken, egg, peppers, natural peanut butter and watermelon. It is also a huge fan of rattan with killer Thrives the market. So, I wasn’t very surprised when they devoured these homemade dogs. They are extremely easy to make and much better for your puppy than the dog biscuits purchased from the store.

As always, check with your veterinarian before changing their diet and let me know how much pets love these homemade dogs!

Ingredients for homemade dog recipe:

Here are the ingredients that must be available for these peanut butter delights:

  • Natural peanut butter: This is a good source of protein and healthy fats for dogs. Make sure the only ingredients are peanuts and salt – no oils, salt or sugars are added and definitively Without xylitol, an artificial sweetener that is Extremely toxic to dogs. or sweeteners, which give them a small protein and healthy fats with tasty taste
  • Pursocrit: In order not to be confused with the filling of the pumpkin pie, the pumpkin puree is a great source of fiber. It can be replaced for sweet potato puree.
  • Garbanzo bean flour: Packed with nutrients for your furry friend. The flour of the whole wheat also works.
  • Eggs: Large source of protein, fatty acids and vitamins. To support your dog’s diet.
  • Oatmeal: This healthy food is not just for people! Oats are a great source of soluble fibers, vitamins and minerals for your dog. I recommend that you use a simple instant oatmeal instead of oatmeal.
  • Flour for all purposes: To roll the dough

I also used a Bone -shaped biscuitBut this is completely optional!

Great: Dogs can also have food allergies! I used deliberate ingredients that are safe for dogs in general, but not every dog is the same. It is important to know which food your dog can be sensitive or unbearable. I recommend that you give them a small piece first to see if there are reactions, then once you are in the clear, you can spoil them with all the homemade pleasures you want.

Critique

This is a quick recipe for treatment that your furious friend will love! I used Garbanzo bean flour (they love chickpeas!), But feel free to use the wheat.

  • Author: Gina Harney // Fitnessista

1 cup Garbanzo Bean flour (can use the whole wheat instead)

3 Eggs (Reserve 1 for Egg Washing)

1/4 cup pumpkin

1/2 cup peanut butter (check only ingredients for peanuts and salt)

1/2 cup oatmeal of fast cooking

Flour for all useful for rolling

Cookie Cutters of Choice

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 and align a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine two eggs (leave one for washing eggs), peanut butter, pumpkin puree, flour and oatmeal. Stir until a dough is formed, adding more Garbanzo bean flour or a little universal flour if necessary.
  3. Sprinkle a little flour on a clean surface and add the dough. It will be a bit sticky, so use the flour to cover the outside of the dough as you roll it into a thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  4. Cut into shapes and then gently place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Combine the rest of the dough, roll and repeat.
  6. To wash eggs in a small bowl, beat the remaining egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Use a pastry brush to paint the top of each treatment with egg washing.
  7. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for about 30 minutes, until hard and brown to the bottom.
  8. Allow to cool completely before storage or service.

How to store homemade dog delights

To store your homemade dogs, allow them to cool completely, then place them in an airtight container. These peanut butter dogs can be stored at room temperature or, to prolong their life, store them in the fridge or freezer in a freezer safety tank. Be sure to check them for any signs of deterioration before feeding them in your puppy.

How long do homemade dog last?

While the period varies, in general, the homemade dog treats as those in this position will take about 5-7 days on the bench, several weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator or 6-12 months in the freezer.

Have you ever tried a homemade dog biscuit recipe? What is food your dog always goes crazy? I never eat chicken without thinking Bella.
