How to make Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt Cups
These little peanut butter frozen yogurt cups are super easy to make! Simply mix together peanut butter and Greek yogurt and add to muffin cups. Choose yogurt with whole milk or 2% for a richer and creamier texture. I like to use silicone muffin liners for this. Then top with crushed graham crackers and peanuts and berries of your choice. Chocolate drizzle works well too!
Benefits of peanut butter and peanuts
Peanuts and peanut butter are an excellent source of nutrients for children and adults. I give my kids peanut products most days because they are a great source of protein, fiber, healthy fats and nutrients. We love having peanuts and peanut butter in our snacks because they really fill you up unlike many other kids snacks. Favorites in our house include “peanut butter bread,” which is simply an open-faced peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread. Other family favorites are peanut butter drizzled with yogurt, peanuts in a mix and I could go on and on!
One serving of peanuts has 7 grams of protein and 19 vitamins and minerals. Peanut butter in particular is an absolute must in my kitchen that I make sure we never run out of. For my ever-growing kids, I love that peanuts and peanut butter are energy dense with protein and healthy fats. I love that they can eat a small portion and get lots of nutritional benefits. Peanuts and PB also have nutrients that help brain development, such as vitamin E, niacin, resveratrol, and the amino acid arginine.
I’ve teamed up with The Peanut Institute to share all about why peanuts are a great choice for people of all ages, body types and ethnicities. Peanuts are extremely versatile, affordable, nutritious and easily accessible, making them a health food.
