I hosted a podcast called Health Matters where I interviewed leading health experts. Founder and CEO of Whose Apple Empowerment Center, Linda Williams is an author, life and relationship coach, trained psychotherapist, educator and motivational speaker. Her new book, “Whose Apple is it, anyway!,” described as “The Battlefield of the Mind” meets “The Purpose Driven Life” against a backdrop of the Master Plan.
What are the four secrets that stand between you and fate?
“Number one: Destiny can’t deny you, but you can deny destiny.
“Destiny comes from the heart of God. He is immutable, unchangeable, nothing surprises Him. But as we go through what we talked about, what we’re doing is shutting down our purpose.
“It’s not that our destiny isn’t set in eternal stone, it’s that we get off course and have to find our way back to that path.
“THE second The point is, how long is your “good enough for God” list? I can’t do this because I have to do this, that, and the other first. No, I can’t take advantage of this opportunity because I have to do this, that, and the other.
“The bottom line is this: Because your destiny is unchangeable, you must be willing to have the courage to step into it. Do it anyway.
“Joyce Meyer talks about how she went to some friends and told them what God said about the ministry of the great teaching table. They told her – probably true – you’re not ready. We don’t see you as having the personality that would be needed. And that broke up that friendship. But what she says when she sits in a Bible study smoking cigarettes in short shorts and walked into her destiny anyway.
“Please don’t get carried away by a ‘good enough for God’ list because, guess what, your very being here, your very breath is evidence of the fact that He has given you everything you need to achieve your purpose. and your destiny in this life. And it’s good. So the “good enough for God” list must go. Take small steps. Get into what you want to do.
“THE third The point is this: no matter what you see in front of you, no matter what you’ve been through, it will be very necessary to have a list of honest trusted others in your life. People you know have your best interests at heart.
“And people who are strong enough to deal with the backlash when they tell you the truth. This means that you have to trust them enough that no matter how your emotions take off in the midst of chaos, in the midst of what they tell you, you have confidence that these true trusted others truly have your best interests at heart. And that you can trust what they tell you.
“I’m not saying you’re going to be hit with something or have an emotional reaction, but your role in this is to deal with the truth and the message.
“And then finallyyou have to trust the process. You have to trust the healing process. Understand that when you enter this healing process, it will feel foreign to you because you have done it another way for much of your life.
“To know that even though it seems strange to you, you are doing the right thing. This will be a determined effort on your part. It liberates. It won’t be as bad as you think.”
So the secrets, if I could summarize them, would be:
- Fate cannot deny you, but you can deny fate.
- The “good enough for God” list needs to come out.
- You must have a list of honest trusted others in your life.
- Trust the healing process.
