Hello friends! Happy Friday! what are you doing What are you doing this weekend? I hope all my friends in the winter storm path are staying safe and comfortable. This weekend, we have an NCL event at the food bank, a date night (!) and a barre class. I also wrestle with these little puppies in between to work for some IHP units.
Last week, I had an amazing little trip to San Diego for our brain. We have events a few times each year and I always look forward to the opportunity to think and share ideas and learn from Daughter. I was especially excited about this because it was an excuse to see my bestie Betsy and catch up with her.

My flight intentionally got in very early on Wednesday so I would have some time to relax before the events. It was pure chaos here with little Lola – she is SO sweet but man, puppies sure are a lot of work lol – so I headed straight to Betsy’s. I got to see her before she went to work for the day, and was able to use her home as a hub before checking into our hotel.
I grabbed coffee at Better Buzz and took him to the Mission for an hour-long joy ride by the ocean. Lunch was packed from Tender Greens, which I took to Betsy’s to enjoy before some 1:1 client calls.
When Betsy got home, we had a Lagree lesson (the best!!):

(have this tank in at least 6 colors. It is comfortable, long and does not ride up, with a built-in bra)
and then went to dinner at Ponyboy’s. The elevated comfort of the 50s with the opportunity to add caviar to many of their offerings. 😉 We will DEFINITELY be back! The drinks and food were SO good, and meeting Betsy for food + cocktails was just what I needed.

I met my business partner Giselle at the hotel, and the rest of the weekend was filled with sessions, brainstorming,

amazing meals, hikes, more Lagree (I went three days in a row for the first time. My legs and torso died too), and sleeping through the night. Bless it.

It was so great to see Tina! We stay connected via text, but I haven’t seen her in person in years.
It was just the little refresh I needed and it’s always a treat to return to one of my favorite places.

(I wear these jeans all the time <– currently on sale)
For now, it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so shout out something you love in the comments section below.
1.23 Friday’s Faves
Fashion, Beauty, Random:
A hike in Sabino Canyon of fame. The river was flowing and the weather was perfect.

We can always count on P for snacks:

(the kids are obsessed with candy and I got the last box from the “last chance!” section at Whole Foods. Goodbye candy for another year.)
We also tried Chilln; a new ice cream spot in Tucson. You choose your base, mix them and the toppings, and they’re flash frozen with nitrogen so the texture is ultra-smooth.

It is almond milk ice cream with olive oil and sea salt. I wanted to try something a little out there and this did not disappoint. We might have gone twice in 2 days 😉
Read, watch, listen:
You have watched his recent season Emily in Paris? I’m only a few episodes in and while I think it moves slower than previous seasons, it’s perfect escapist fluff.
I downloaded it for you to read.
Last sub here on how I turned my lil blog into a business.
Fitness, health and good nutrition:
Local friends: Penelope’s pizza is gluten free! You just have to call and order 24 hours in advance as they make everything in house and the bread takes time to prove. This will definitely be a regular thing around here:

To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t the best at making healthy meals for myself. The days are full of calls, so I have quick bites like granola, meat sticks or chips in the afternoon. I usually make a huge batch of soup and was feeling soupy.

my friend Giselle recommend Thistle and it was AMAZING. Meals contain no added gluten (some have oats, so just watch the ingredients if you’re sensitive) and there are plant-based and meat-based options. I ordered four lunches and two snacks and they were all fresh and delicious. You can try it and save 60% off your first week with my referral link here!
This delicious Thai red curry with minced chicken had a ton of veggies and 29 grams of protein.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Have a great weekend and see you soon!
