Let us admit it – American health care is a mess. More precisely, it’s Diseasecare. We pay more than any other country and continue to suffer some of the worst health results in the developed world. The prices are ridiculous, the services are fragmented and the average person has no idea what it costs until the account can reach the post office weeks later.

Much malfunction can be detected in the inflated beast which is the insurance industry. If the drug, surgery and hospital remain longer cost more, they are simply transferred to premiums. They win while prices are increasing.

When there is no transparency or skin in the game by patients because they do not see costs, things can continue to move more and more out of control.

It is no secret that the government’s role in subsidizing health insurance has made only the situation worse. When someone else pays the bill, it costs heights, transparency disappears and real accountability disappears.

And while universal health care sounds nice theoretically, only this already broken model would extend. Adding more bureaucrats does not better do a bureaucratic system.

Although I certainly do not merge it, there are very legitimate complaints behind what has apparently caused the murder of a chief executive of the insurance company.

Still, you need medical services when you need them. In a way, the system is a necessity at least parts of it.

For many years, when I was younger, I got attention to the wind and lived successfully without medical insurance.

As I started a family, I felt it was my duty to understand it. I arrived to pay these premiums and was looking for a better solution.

As bad as it was, I ran even more as a business owner, paying these heavy premiums for employees!

As I fell into the levers and systems involved in health, I discovered a better alternative that is more aligned with my values …

What is the exchange of medical costs?

It is not insurance. It is not government. It is a community of peers that make up to pay each other’s medical accounts directly.

It’s like insurance. But it is not insurance.

It is built by transparency, trust and common responsibility, not the hidden fees and delicate printing.

My first experience with cost exchange was with a different organization. Basically I cut my expenses in half of what I pay for something that gave me similar coverage and less headache. (Even if the lack of insurance became illegal in California, where I lived at that time.)

But eventually I moved AfflictionAnd there things really clicked.

Why did i change in crwdhealth

I heard some interviews with the founder of Crowdhealth, Andy Schoonover, and what was clicking. Crowdhealth started on the treatment of medical insurance and knowing that there was a better way.

Is this future of health care? | Ep. 44

It was cheaper (saving me about $ 250 more a month for my family), cleaner, and just made sense. The model used by crowdhealth is community -based. You can really see details of the medical events of the people you are in.

When you have a health event, submit it through the application, they will help negotiate your account and then the community progresses to pay. It’s fast, it’s simple, and it works.

  • They make you some responsibility. They ask to do a little work in examining the services pricing. A process can cost $ 5000 in a place and $ 500 right next to. Since the costs are shared in the community, your goal is to support your community.
  • There is unlimited virtual care. I used it once when my daughter had a really high fever.
  • Currently, they offer an annual well -being per year (up to $ 300), which is eligible for crowdfunding without the initial commitment of $ 500.
  • They even offer some useful benefits to preventive health with quarterly offers. Recently, they ran a promotion where you could get the majority of a bowel health test covered by them. Who else does this?

A disadvantage – not HSA

For years, I had enjoyed the tax savings involved in the use of a health savings account (HSA). Unfortunately, this wasn’t something I could use with crowdhealth.

But saving in the monthly bill more than it did for this little savings as a tax strategy.

Of course, if you have an existing HSA in cash on it, you are still good to use it.

A healthier philosophy

What I appreciate most is that this model is aligned with a completely different philosophy of health.

People in the community tend to be preventive to health, as they do.

For example, you cannot be obese and participate. They had people to make a weight loss journey so they could make the cut.

Why do everyone pay more for a lifestyle disease when the lifestyle is what will take care of it?

It started in relation to Bitcoin, though this model has changed since then. If you understand something about Bitcoin, its decentralized desire, it fits into self -conservation for health.

In the end, I would say that crowdhealth is to strengthen people to take on their own health and support each other immediately.

Two personal stories that prove it

I have put the crowdhealth in the test in two important ways. First, my traumatic brain injury.

Logan traumatic brain damage

All this presence proves how broken the medical model is. When I told the hospital that I was not insured, that I was cashing in, they immediately gave a 93%discount. The $ 50,000 account was reduced to about $ 4000. In addition to my commitment (similar to a discount), the crowdhealth community covered this.

I was literally thinking about the costs of the community, as well as my own health, due to the danger disadvantage, reducing the return for a CT tracking detection with it. It was unnecessary medium and economically.

Last year, my wife had an urgent accumulation. This is still involved in the negotiations, as this was in a different hospital system that did not offer such a discount.

I know which hospital I use in the future if the need arises again.

My recommendation

I did the switch because I wanted something better. I plan to get stuck because I was very pleased with it.

With this link, you automatically receive $ 99/mo per new member for the first 3 months.

They have a calculator on the site so you can see how much it will cost for you and/or your family.

Crowdhealth is affordable, effective and in fact it is much more aligned with how I think health care should work. If you are disappointed with the insurance system-or just ready to leave the medical-industrial complex-I highly recommend checking them.

Even they just put on a new Black Swan service that is even cheaper, intended only to cover medical disasters.

In the end, you don’t have to settle for the current system. Hitting with the so -called “alternative” methods such as herbs is one step. But exit from the broken insurance model is another. Fortunately, there is a better way.
