Sadik Hadzovic expresses new challenges in competitive bodybuilding that does not endure in his 1920s.

Last update on March 27 2025

Bodybuilding is a sport and the lifestyle dedicated to enhancing bodybuilding, making muscle mass in balanced proportions while maintaining the minimum body fat. It prioritizes aesthetics for performance, based on weight lifting and disciplined diet to achieve a sculptural appearance.

However, like any pursuit, bodybuilding comes with challenges, including the risk of injury, strict nutrition requirements, sacrifices required by lifestyle, effects on favorite and inevitable effects of aging.

Professional bodybuilder Sadik Hadzovic Recently sheds light on the least glittering side of the sport. On March 24, 2025, Hadzovic shared his races as a father and professional athlete who navigates the realities of aging in the competitive world of bodybuilding.

Hadzovic at the entrance to a different phase of life

Hadzovic’s life phase has significant uncertainties alongside requirements and bodybuilding. He thinks it is difficult to watch others compete on stage, wanting to be there, but they feel disconnected from the path he had in the 1920s.

In the gym, Hadzovic’s progress is restrained with reduced strength and unknown joint pain, making it harder to train hard.

Even when you get older, the hands become unstable, they cannot be convenient or continue, the changes of the world.

-Sadik Hadzovic

Hadzovic compared his current challenges with an example of his father-a determined and hardworking go-getter who struggled to adapt from the pen and paper to emails, passwords and electronic records.

While Hazovic acknowledged that such transitions are inevitable, he does not believe he has reached this stage, but recognizes the difficulty others may have navigated.

I don’t know how to deal with. I don’t think I’ll ever deal with.

-Sadik Hadzovic

Hazovic believes that his life was better to never win Olympia. In a conversation with Olympia champion Jeremy Buendia, Hazovic acknowledged strong jealousy for Buendia’s Olympia achievements, convinced that he was worth defeating him. Hazovic acknowledged that these were toxic emotions.

Reflecting Buendia-acquiring Olympia at an early age and managing the pressure and reputation that came with the top-Hudzovic feels it is over, as the runners-up may have been a blessing to disguise. Afterwards, Hadzovic sees the advantages that allowed his personal development and sponsorship opportunities.

Perhaps the real victory is my family, my career, the respect I have in the sport, my health. You have to redefine success.

-Sadik Hadzovic

Hazovic believes that constant success lies in strong family relationships and good health.

Hadzovic’s current mindset

Hazovic took three years away from the competition to welcome his son’s birth after lasting a child’s loss of loss during this time. Returning to Pro Stadium, Hudzovic reiterated for Olympia while fighting illness, presenting the best physical shape of his career at the older age he ever fought.

He left the professional scene again to celebrate his daughter’s birth before making a final return to the stage for a last run.

I’m a man. A creature looking for a target. I judge my value in my achievements. Bank account, titles I win, standard people hold me … on the street or in youtube comments.

-Sadik Hadzovic

Today’s goal of Hadzovic is to be the best father he can be.

When I am old, no one from Mr. Olympia will come and visit me, but my children will invest in it now. ”

-Sadik Hadzovic

Hazovic explained that while his family remains his top priority, his passion for competition leads him. Performing at the highest level is increasingly difficult to balance. “However, I still do it every year,” Hadzovic said.

Sadik Hadzovic’s goals

Hadzovic wants to compete, but there is the cost for his family. He has participated in 30 pro shows, culminating in almost all of this – a process that gives huge stress to the body “and takes from your life.”

I know the sacrifices I have put through my body and the tax it takes for my health.

-Sadik Hadzovic

Hadzovic confirmed his return to the competition in the classic part of the bodybuilding, with the aim of moving on to a complete, hard, broke 220 lbs – from the current weight of 205kg.
