The decision to pursue this option was after a traumatic vaginal birth the first time with several postpartum complications (planned home birth turned into hospital transfer for prolonged rupture of membranes and preterm labor after attempted castor oil induction at home, followed by several days of protracted labor once in Nicole then experiences placental retention and cervical rupture with attempted manual removal of the placenta followed by improper repair and abnormal cervical healing. allergy noted in her chart. In the months that followed Nicole developed profound urinary incontinence after giving birth which required multiple interventions and procedures and finally surgery to correct it at 6 months postpartum which thankfully worked.stress and perinatal OCD but her C-section birth with mother’s help was the most empowering and liberating experience she could imagine.
