Living in Seattle, WA, I take to enjoy apples all year long – either it gets fresh from the orchards, as a snack (with peanut butter!), Or by enjoying baked products during the colder months. Apples are a high fiber, naturally sweet adding to baking, and this recipe for apple oatmeal is so delicious-just to share it with you. It is not only really tasty, but it is also full of ingredients that are excellent for your health – filled with antioxidants, fibers, vitamins and minerals. Here’s how (and why!) You have to do it.

Fresh apples vs canned apples in baking

When it comes to baking with apples, I always recommend the use of fresh apples. While canned apples may look convenient, they often come with additional sugars and preservatives. The fresh apples are full of fiber and antioxidants and their natural sweetness shines. Using fresh apples in this cake, you get all the benefits of apple health. It is absolutely a “superfood” – rich in vitamin C, fibers and quercetin.

Choosing the right apples for Apple Oatmeal Cake

Not all apples are created equal when it comes to baking. For this recipe, I suggest you use fixed apples that hold well during baking. Varieties such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp or Braeburn work beautifully because they offer a nice balance of sweetness and tart while maintaining their texture. The sweetness of the apples will naturally enhance the flavor of the cake, so choosing a variety you enjoy is the key.

Health benefits

Apples are not just delicious – they have so many health benefits. Rich in fiber, apples help support healthy digestion and contribute to a balanced gut germicide. A healthy intestine supports your immune system and helps reduce inflammation. Apple fiber also helps to regulate blood sugar levels and keeps you feel more fully, making this apple cake a satisfactory (and nutritious) treatment.

In addition to the fibers, the apples are filled with antioxidants such as quercetin and flavonoids, which help fight oxidative stress and inflammation. These antioxidants have been shown to protect against cellular lesions and can even help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer. An Apple medium provides about 10% of your daily vitamin C needs, which supports immune health and helps body repair tissues and cells.

A heart-to-hearted, anti-inflammatory cake

The ingredients in this apple cake are an anti -inflammatory power plant. All oats, avocado oil and nuts add healthy fats, fibers and antioxidants. Avocado oil is known for the heart materials-hyphen fats, while nuts are filled with omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties and support brain health.

Ideal for meal preparation

One of the best things about this Apple Oatmeal cake is how well it saves. If you are looking for something easy to prepare for the week, this cake is ideal for meal preparation. It holds well in the refrigerator for up to a week and can even be frozen for greater storage. Cut it and pack it for snacks or enjoy it as a dessert after a healthy meal. Additional fibers from apples and oats, combined with healthy fats from oil and nuts, make this a satisfactory choice for any time of the day.

Doing Apple Oatmeal Cake

This oatmeal cake is not only delicious. It’s a great way to enjoy natural sweetness and nutrition of apples in a comfortable dessert. Packed with apples from apples and the whole rolled oat, it is a dessert that provides a little more substance than your typical cake. Healthy fats from avocado or oil, along with optional nuts, bring to the omega-3 hearts, making this a dessert that not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also offers some nutritional benefits. Whether you enjoy it as a snack or dessert, this cake offers taste and a little extra kindness with every bite.

Prepare the pan

Start with the oven warm up at 300 ° F. Prepare your pan with fat with oil or butter and lining the bottom with parchment paper. I recommend using a 10 -inch Springform container or a 13 × 9 -inch baking plate, but any similar size will work. Just be sure to lubricate the sides well to avoid any adhesive.

Prepare the beat

While your oven is heated, take your dry ingredients ready. In a middle bowl, beat the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. The spices really bring a warm taste.

In a large bowl of mixing, whisk together the oil, sugar and eggs for about 2 minutes until the mixture is slightly thickened. Mix vanilla extract and fresh lemon juice for additional brightness.

Add the dry ingredients to the liquid mixture, stirring gently until combined. Be careful not to exceed, or your cake can be very dense. Now, fold on apples (and nuts, if you use them). The stroke will be thick, but that is exactly what must be!

Bake apple cake

Transfer the stroke to your prepared frying pan and smooth it out. Place in the center of the oven and bake for about 55-60 minutes. You will know that it has been done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The top should be golden and slightly firm to the touch. If the edges start to coffee very quickly, you can cover it with foil for the last 5-10 minutes.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan in a drawer before serving. The flavors continue to grow as it cools, so be patient – you will be rewarded with a perfectly seasoned, tender cake.

Frequently Questions by Apple Cake

Can I do this gluten -free cake?

Absolutely! Replace the overall flour with your favorite gluten -free flour mixture. I like it Bob’s Red Mill.

What kind of apples should I use?

Go for a fixed, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the better balance of flavor and texture.

Can I make this vegan?

Yes! Easy – exchange eggs with flax eggs (1 tablespoon of flax + 3 tablespoons of water = 1 egg).

How should I store apple cake?

Residues can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Bonus: They taste even better the next day as the flavors merge.

I hope you are inspired to start baking more with apples and also make this gorgeous apple cake! Surely throw me a comment below if you try it!
