The Texas Health and Human Services Committee has chosen to be good to Texas, an initiative of the Be Well Institute for the use of substances and related disorders at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio), to lead a significant expansion Texas.
Be Well Texas has been awarded funding for the management of two basic elements of the state’s opioid response in the context of a needs assessment initiative: Drugs for opioid disorder treatment and recovery support services.
This initiative is part of the broader reaction strategy and support from peer -to -peer recovery services, with the aim of reducing overdose deaths and building a constant recovery infrastructure. Funding allows Texas to be well and its associates across the state to extend the treatment of treatment, improve the continuation of care and reach both rural and urban communities with Sotiriou services.

This award represents a unique collaboration between two state-HHSC and UT Health San Antonio-known by a common vision: increasing access to high quality services, based on presumptions and personal substance services. As a leading service, Be Well Texas will provide technical expertise, supervision and support support through an integrated network of treatment, recovery and provider supported by the deep clinical and public experience of the Institute Be Well Institute.

Since 2021, the bell Texas initiative has served as a reliable partner in the efforts to prevent the state’s excessive dose, providing a low -barrier clinical care, a powerful state network of provider, workforce training and scale use solutions. The new funding will allow even greater range and integration of these services into Texas communities in the most need.
