Our journey to Maui was a dream come true – the days that turned into golden sunsets, repeated Mai Tai and a mixture of adventure and relaxation that left us completely rechargeable. Here is my personal guide for Maui’s best, with restaurants, activities and where I like to stay.

Where we stayed in Maui: Fairmont Kea Lani

When it comes to family -friendly luxury, the Fairmont kea Lani In Maui he is in his own league. Nestled in beautiful Wailea, this all-suite and Villa Resort offered the perfect mix of comfort and grace to our family.

Why do we love Fairmont Kea Lani

Pools for all: The resort features multiple pools, including a family pool with the coolest waterslide (a huge blow with children) and a pool for adults for some quiet time.

BeachT: The resort opens to a stunning beach, ideal for playing in the sand or dipping the breathtaking sunsets.

Incredible food: From breakfast buffet to snacks by the pool on Ama and good food, restaurants on site have something for something everyone. Do not skip KōEven if you don’t stay at the hotel. The whole menu is incredible: my favorites include fresh fish with coconut broth, Seared Ahi on the rock, and lavender honey crisp shrimp. If a drink after dinner overlooking the sunset with live music is your jam, head toward Pilina. Sushi is also out of this world.

The staff: The staff here are so amazing! They make you feel like a family.

Beds … and free clothes: Driving home with a suitcase full of clean clothes? Yes please!

As seriously, look at this view?

Where to eat at Maui

If you are a foodie like me, Maui will not disappoint. From the fresh seafood to food trucks that will hit your mind, here is where we have lunch (and loved every bite) along with all the places we recommend.

Mamma’s Fish House

This virtual point is worth the figure. Nestled beach in Paia, the menu highlights seafood locally with a tropical twist. Reservations are necessary!

Monkeypod kitchen

Mai Tai Connoisseurs, this is the need to visit. Seriously, they are the best in the world according to Charles! The lilikoi foam on top? The chef’s kiss.

Paia fish market

This busy Paia spot is ideal for loose seafood dishes. The tanned mahi-mahi burger is perfection.

Bromic

A modern Japanese coastal house inspired the idea of design for Morimoto Maui. The views are stellar and do not skip the popcorn shrimp Tempura.

Pilina

The newest bar and the Maui lounge overlooking the ocean, incredible sushi and live music. An impressive menu of drink: just ask Charles who tried one of everything a night lol.

Matteo’s

If Italian is what you follow, this is an excellent choice with authentic, handmade pasta. I was stuck in a waterfall when our filter was lined up here, but they all gave reviews.

Ferraro’s

This place will always hold a special place in my heart: it is where Charles suggested to me. Located at the four -seasons hotel, it is a bit pricy, but opinions, food (high quality Italian) and the service was excellent.

Flatbread company

For excellent pizza, head to Paia. The happiest cooks I ever saw and the food was incredible. Take the Paia salad coming with a pineapple vinaigrette (so good), and my favorite pizza was the conference with the sausage added to it.

Kō

Kō brings to life the exotic mixture of multicultural influences – China, Japan, Philippines, Korea and Portugal – this is Hawai’i’s quintessence.

Pie shop of Leoda

You don’t leave Maui without pie, and Leoda is the place. Banana cream? Yes, please.

Maui Brewing Co.

Craft Beer Lovers, that’s for you! Their tasting flights mate perfectly with a slice of their pizza with wood.

808 deli

An excellent spot for a quick, tasty sandwich or salad to get to the beach.

Noodle

Fresh, tasty dishes inspired by Asia in a modern environment. Obviously you can’t miss the pasta garlic or pork pork.

Coconut

For amazing fish tacos served with Aloha. Bonus: It’s a family super friendly!

Mexican coffee of Fred

Taco Tuesday, everyone? Grab a daisy and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Coffee

Start your day here with Macadamia walnut pancakes or a moco loco. It is a breakfast institution in Maui.

What to do in Maui

Maui is where the adventure meets relaxation. Whether you are hunting waterfalls or swimming turtle swimming, there is no shortage of things to do. While I didn’t do everything on this list, I added a lot of things to do to recommend to me on Instagram!

First things first … I highly recommend doing a photo shoot with Fly! It is something I do on every family trip and is such a pleasure to have beautiful memories are captured with everyone in the photo (no one sticks behind the camera!). Use discount code Fraiche50 To save $ 50 on your own photography and do these moments last forever.

1 Street to Hannah

This legendary movement is an all -day affair with waterfalls, black sand beaches and jaw views. The waterfall jumped by the rock was in Mile 10, but it is not an easy (or safe) trip, as there are very limited points to pull from this wild road. There are companies that can take you to jump from waterfalls that would be much safer and easier to access.

2. Kapalua Coastal Trail

A stunning coastal hiking that is easy for all levels of fitness. You will spend beautiful beaches and lava formations.

3. Bamboo Forest

Part of the Pipiwai trail, this magic hiking takes you through a tall bamboo forest. It’s like getting into another world.

4. Developed with a snorkel in Black Rock Beach

An excellent spot for beginners for breathing with colorful fish and maybe even a turtle or two.

5. Big Beach

True in its name, this area of sand is great and amazing. The surf can be intense, so be careful if you swim.

6 Wailea stores

For a small retail treatment, these luxurious stores are the perfect place to pick up souvenirs or treat yourself.

8. Kamaole Beach Park 2

A family -friendly beach with calm waters, ideal for snorkeling or just enjoying the sun.

9 molokini

Book for a boat browsing in a respirator in this crescent -shaped crater. Crystal water is incredible.

10. South Maui Gardens

A hidden jewelry with beautiful gardens and a coffee serving fresh, healthy bites.

11. Ho’okipa Beach

Located near Lower Pā’ia, this beach is a good place to watch surfers. They make it look so easy!

12. Pea and Blessings

Makawao is a cold small eclectic city, with such a wide variety of stores as people. I love browsing the stores and grab an ice cream. Pā’ia is similar, but if you only have the opportunity to go to one, I will choose Makawao personally.

13.

Grab a spectacular sunrise if you are an early bird or sunset for the night owl. Before reservation It is required to be accepted in the park for sunrise.
