In the world of skin care, the search for effective antiaging solutions is endless. New active ingredients are always being introduced to address the signs of aging. Fine lines and wrinkles are one of the main skin care concerns when people talk about anti-aging care. So enter one of the newest actives to address this concern, Argireline ® . An Argireline serum has become useful in many anti-aging skin care routines because Argireline ® is a peptide designed to target and prevent the formation of certain wrinkles. Argireline serums are commonly referred to as “Botox in a Bottle”.

Peptides have emerged as popular skincare actives because they are so versatile and can target specific skincare concerns.

If you’ve heard the hype about Argireline ® and are now looking for an Argireline serum to add to your routine, check out these ten Argireline products you should consider adding to your skincare routine.

From serums designed to target specific areas to polypeptide formulations that promise a holistic approach, we navigate the promise and potential of these skin care products, providing insight into their ingredients and clinical efficacy.

The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum

First up is The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum. This was The Ordinary’s popular buffet serum. With all the popularity of peptides in skin care, they rebranded it to have peptides in the name.

This Argireline Serum contains Matrixyl™ 3000 and ARGIRELOX™ Peptide Complex which contains Argireline and another peptide designed to prevent wrinkles. Although there was no clinical data on the formulation, they used two popular peptide cocktails, with a lot of science behind them. Overall it is a versatile formula suitable for various skin types.

  • Way of use: Apply morning and night after cleansing.
  • Skin type: Normal, Dry, Combination, Oily.
  • Clinical control: No clinical trial data were provided.

Clinique Smart Clinical Repair™ Wrinkle Correcting Serum

Clinique’s Anti-Aging Serum has been clinically tested to prove it’s a power pack anti-aging serum. Compared to The Ordinary’s serum it is more expensive, but the results are tested and validated. The formulation is branded CL1870 Laser Focus Complex™, which contains Argirline and several other peptides. It also contains 1% retinoid for wrinkle reduction supercharge. Backed by clinical trials, although a little more expensive, the price is validated. If you’re looking for an Argireline serum that has proven results, this is definitely one worth trying.

  • Way of use: Apply twice a day, morning and evening.
  • Skin type: All skin types.
  • Clinical control: Consumer tests on 300+ women comparing the use of the serum to a laser treatment to reduce wrinkles.

PCA Skin ExLinea® Peptide Smoothing Serum

Specially formulated for expression lines, this spot treatment features Acetylhexapeptide-8 and Hyaluronic Acid. Although no published clinical results are available, the brand markets it as an anti-aging serum designed to tighten, firm and minimize expression lines. The price of this Argireline serum is on the higher end, which is probably because it looks like they’ve done some clinical research. However, this serum mainly contains humectants and Argireline ® , so there are more affordable options. But if you really like PCA Skin products, this is an option for you.

  • Way of use: Apply one to two pumps after cleansing and toning to areas of wrinkles and sagging, focusing on lines around the eyes, forehead and mouth twice daily.
  • Skin type: Dry, Oily, Combination, Normal.
  • Clinical results: Before and after pictures after using it twice a day for 3 months, there are no published clinical results.

Glo Argireline Wrinkle Reversing Facial Serum

Marketed as “Botox in a Bottle”, this serum contains Argireline and collagen peptides. This Argireline serum is on the cheaper side of serums. If you are not ready to invest in a more expensive Argireline product, this is comparable to The Ordinary serum.

  • Way of use: Apply 2-3 drops daily.
  • Skin type: Not worth it
  • Clinical results: There was no clinical data available on the formulation, but there is data on the ingredient on their website.

Peter Thomas Roth Super-Size Un-wrinkle Eye Concentrate

A powerful eye solution, this concentrate combines six powerful peptides, including Syn-ake, SNAP-8, Argireline, Syn-coll and Matrixyl™ 3000. This is the most expensive of all the Argireline serums on this list. It is marketed as containing 23% active ingredients, and while this may be tempting as a consumer, there is no scientific support for this high percentage. We can often think that a higher concentration means better or more effective, but almost all ingredients have a concentration that is not more effective. So all that really means is that the price goes up, but you don’t get more benefits. So as you consider options for an Argireline serum you should consider.

  • Way of use: Dispense and dab around the eye area twice daily.
  • Skin Type: All skin types.
  • Clinical results: A 32-person consumer efficacy study in women aged 25-60 years.

Asterwood Triple Repair Matrixyl 3000® + Argireline® + Hyaluronic Acid + Organic Vitamin C

This concentrated serum features Matrixyl 3000®, Argireline® peptide, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C to target almost all aspects of aging. Asterwood Naturals also sells an Argireline Serum with Matrixyl 300 as well if that serum is bothersome to you. Although no specific clinical results are provided, it offers a powerful combination of well-researched ingredients for users looking for a complete skin care solution that addresses wrinkles and dark spots.

  • Way of use: Concentrated serum for face and neck.
  • Skin Type: It doesn’t say, people with sensitive or sensitized skin should patch and insert slowly.
  • Clinical results: No specific clinical studies are provided.

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Wrinkle Resist Serum

With a complex of 21 peptides and neuropeptides, this serum contains Argireline and many other peptides. The brand has clinical results from a 14-day study to show its effectiveness in treating dryness, anti-aging, loss of firmness and dullness. If you love Peter Thomas Roth products and want something a little more affordable than the Eye concentrate, this is an option.

  • Way of use: Apply twice a day
  • Skin Type: All skin types.
  • Clinical results: Pictures before and after a 14-day study.

Derma E Advanced Peptides and Flora-Collagen Moisturizer

This dual-action peptide cream, with Matrixyl synthe’6, ArgirelineNP, Pycnogenol and plant-derived collagen, aims to soften and smooth wrinkles. Although no specific clinical results are provided, the cream offers a blend of powerful ingredients for comprehensive skin care. It’s another affordable option if you want to try Argireline but don’t want to make a huge investment.

  • Way of use: Apply twice daily after cleansing.
  • Skin Types:
  • Clinical results: No specific clinical studies are provided.

Dr. Nolan | London 20% Argireline Serum

This Argireline Serum has not only Argireline but also Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin C. The brand has no specific clinical results but presents a combination of proven key ingredients for potential skin care benefits. This is another serum that has a high concentration of Argireline, but this high concentration is not necessary to see the positive results. However, it is an affordable option if you are interested in trying Argireline products.

  • How to use it: The brand has no specific guidelines
  • Skin type: Not worth it
  • Clinical results: No specific clinical studies are provided.

The usual Argireline 10% solution.

The Ordinary is known for science-backed, boneless, affordable products. Research shows that 10% Argireline is the necessary amount for maximum results. Although no specific clinical results are provided, it offers a simple solution for those who want to address the signs of aging in targeted areas such as the forehead and around the eyes.

  • Way of use: Apply a few drops to the forehead and around the eyes.
  • Skin Type: All skin types
  • Clinical results: No specific clinical studies are provided.
