Okay, we all know hydrocortisone and deet – but are there other things we can do for mosquito bites? Today I am going to share 4 alternative mosquito treatments and a good repellent that I do not hear talking about many (and does not feel miserable on my skin). It is the itching like crazy with them, I hope you find these useful!

Mosquito net Bite - Alternative Mosquito Solutions

As a note: Even if I’m a nurse and I tried to research them as much as I can, I can’t recommend them without talking to your provider as we live in this day and age.

Alternative mosquito biting treatments:

I imagine a tone and stopped going out in the summer due to possible bites – and this is not the life I want to drive – so I was looking for some other options to help:

Suck

This It’s one of my favorites, if I can do it just a few minutes after being a little (I can’t find it also works when you find the bug bite a day later, etc). But, ideal for working in the garden, knowing that you are in danger – come and check to see if you have round pieces.

It’s really simple, you put it on the bite and pull back to the piston. I like to count on 10 slowly and give myself a little little Hickey.

For good measure, I will often follow it with some hydrocortisone…

If I do both of them immediately after finding a bite, I’m often good for the next few days. Sometimes after hydrocortisone I follow it with ….

Stickers!

These were new to me, but I found a package in Buc-ee the last time I was there and I couldn’t lead me wrong.

Think the original brand is better than haunting…. Why do you try a brand? Haha….

Now, these are entirelyAnd I really had to do some research to make how/why they would work. The idea here is that lifts the very upper layer of your skin To help your body metabolize mosquito bite things so that it does not be itchy/long.

First of all, if itching your minds out, it may not be a first line of treatment. I would like to recommend some hydrocortisone (or my 4th) and then try the sticker after it is absorbed.

This is basically only a sticker – so you can’t have oil or lotion on your skin in the last few hours or you will just not stick. A fall of this type of product.

My family is mixed in them. For me…

  • I tried it in a medium itch, and within 5 minutes I didn’t notice it anymore
  • They stayed pretty good – a few days, which was nice
  • They come in strange colors that are fun when people see them and ask you what’s going on?

Honestly, I think it’s not a bad idea.

Is it better than a band help? I think so? It gives more airflow to the area … and I’m a fan of it.

I will buy again.

Alternative therapies for itching mosquitoes

Zit patches

Okay, we all love zit patches when we have a significant something and have a whitehead the size of our head … but they help with mosquito bites?

Yes, There are specifically for mosquito bites. It is the same hydrocolloid patch that was also infused with aloe and witch hazelnut.

In the end, I felt that they were working a little better than other stickers. They look much more expensive, I seem to be alternating between the two to decide which one I like best. But, I think they both deserve a test. I found a package of them in my local Walmart…

These are also much less remarkable (although there are some with standards) as they are clear.

Nice when you don’t want everyone to ask what happened?

I thought they were stuck better than others, but my daughter told me that her own came out quite quickly.

Burning baby

It is worth mentioning that I hear a lot of people who like it is a system that burns the bite.

Honestly, it sounds great. I like to dig my nail on the bite to try to stop it swinging!

But, I tried it and not only hurt it, but it didn’t seem to help my bite. My friend has this And I felt like it was useful on a recent trip to Africa, but I tried another in 2020 and I sent it back, I thought it was so bad.

So take it for what is worth it.

Mosquito nets

Alternatively mosquito repellent

Obviously, the key to most health concerns is prevention – so what can we do there?

Avon skin so soft

People are running for these things, but honestly – I couldn’t find the “real deal” anywhere. Amazon is full of “this”, but when it comes it has Chinese words on the back that made me hesitate. But, if you can get yourself some – I think it’s a nice idea. Maybe you have a local lady Avon with whom you can check?

Happy family cleaning family

I was thinking of putting it a spray bottle like this To facilitate the application (especially on the legs).

Its natural Murphy

Okay – Well, what can we really get without having to find an Avon lady? I found this At Costco and I’m a fan.

Now, I have to say that I usually hate the feeling of repellent mosquitoes. You feel so gross.

This is exactly what feels like a fragrance. I would say that my skin feels “lighter” when I use it (like cooler – I guess it’s a better way to describe it) – but it’s not sticky or gross at all.

I would like to say that sometimes when I just spray without rubbing around the right places, I get bites on untouched skin.

I have been heavy on it lately – trying to spray the open areas more, but also spraying my entire body as I know that the overall aroma is a repellent.

I wish it were in a spray bottle that would spray upside down, but life continues. It’s my favorite repellent right now, though I found some skin so soft at the Tiktok store, so maybe I’ll give it a swirl.

What other remedies or repulsives do you like?

I would like to say that I got ants A few weeks ago gardening (!) – and these were not useful. And dang these little buggars itch for a while. The good thing was that Borax and Sugar sent them to their death. Do you want to know how to do this? Tell me in the comments!
