During the last 31+ years, the AFPA has certified over 130,000 health, nutrition and exercise professionals. We regularly have distinguished and young graduates who use what they have learned to inspire others and make the difference.

Meet one of our graduates, Dr. Nikki Letoya White. Dr. Nikki has won the certification of holistic nutrition, the certification of the health coach and well -being and the certification of weight management (now the Coaching for Certificate Lost Weight) by the AFPA.

Meet the AFPA graduate Dr. Nikki Letoya White, MSED-TL, Ph.D., RHN

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Dr. Nikki Letoya White, and I wear a lot of hats -trucker wife, a proud mom of the four, and a dedicated lawyer for women in recovery.

I maintain a degree in Health Services Health Administration, a Master’s Degree in Education (Teaching and Learning) and a PhD in Christian Counseling.

As a nutritionist, herbalist and rehabilitation coach, I specialize in providing help for women with high performance to tour the complex intersection of emotional trauma, recovery of addiction and well -being.

Through my private practice, Walned Wellness Art Wellness and Botanica studio At the agriculture of Georgia we offer a safe and cultivating space for women looking for deep recovery, emotional well -being and practical tools to heal.

My team and I provide personalized support that faces addictive activators, creates sustainable treatment mechanisms and enables women to regain their lives after years of navigation of unresolved emotional wounds such as abandonment and childish neglect.

My approach is both holistic and injured, mixing methods based on evidence such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and physical therapy to guide women through their therapeutic paths.

How did you start to care about health and wellness?

My journey to health and well -being began during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. As a new wife and mother of trucks, I felt lost and shocked, fighting with mom-shaming, isolation and debilitating panic attacks. Five visits to ER later, I got the ACE study (adverse childhood experiences) and discovered that the stress of my separation had caused an old wound of abandonment from childhood-a wound caused by my mother who let me be brought up by my grandmother. Doctor’s words change life: the unsolved childhood trauma supplied my current anxiety and nutrition disorder.

Unfortunately, my first treatment experience was not successful, letting me tour this overwhelming emotional soil. I started blogging for my races as a truck spouse, which led to the training of other women in similar situations and writing the Loner Wife Diaries series.

My treatment took a transformative turn when he was introduced to a life coach and a professional hoodoo with decades of experience Sobriety. Sophia and her guidance taught me how to lay the foundations for my recovery. But healing is rarely linear and life has brought new challenges – a relapse in my diet disorder, digestive issues and hormonal imbalances that come from low estrogen levels after my third and fourth caesarean sector. Diagnosed with vaginal atrophy at the age of just 28, I have had surgery and chronic pain that left me saying “enough is enough”.

I decided to train myself, stumble on the AFPA Nutritional Program and sign up to find out how to use food as a medicine. The knowledge I gained was the change of life. We healed my digestive issues, managed to manage my hormonal imbalances, reverse my relapse, and I even lost thirty pounds inadvertently.

What AFPA certification have you won and why did you choose this certification program?

I actively use my certifications in a holistic diet, health training and CEU, such as herbal pharmacist and physical strategies for menopause to serve women in recovery.

Right now I am getting ready to get the AFPA health certificate to deepen my experience in healing the bowel-brain connection-a critical aspect of emotional and physical recovery for my clients, this will bring me a good career.

My passion gets what I learned and I share it with the women who seek to make themselves -a loot and Sobritey a top premium. The deepest lesson I have learned is that health and lifestyle are deeply interconnected-you cannot separate mental, emotional and physical well-being.

My studies gave me a holistic perspective on the body and its relationship with trauma, addiction and nutrition. I have learned that unresolved emotional pain – especially from abandonment and childhood neglect – often manifests as addictions such as nutrition, sugar dependence or substance abuse.

These behaviors not only affect emotional health but can also lead to chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and inflammation. This understanding has shaped my work, allowing me to bridge the wellness, mental health and substance abuse. With proper education and personal experience, I was able to guide women towards healing at all levels – the body, the mind and the spirit.

Many of my clients are struggling with emotional nutrition, sugar addiction, anxiety and worries about women’s health, all come from deep emotional wounds. By combining nutrition, herbal well -being and emotional support, I enhance my clients to escape harmful treatment mechanisms and build sustainable lives in recovery. This approach not only helped me celebrate 8 years of full recession, but also allowed my clients to thrive as they are healed.

How has it been certified with the AFPA that influenced your life?

As mentioned earlier, the knowledge I gained was the change in life. We healed my digestive issues, managed to manage my hormonal imbalances, reverse my relapse, and I even lost thirty pounds inadvertently. What started as a personal pursuit turned into a call as others began to reach me for advice. I realized that the reconstruction of my private practice to focus on women in recovery perfectly aligned with my purpose. Today, I continue to navigate my own sobriety, while reinforcing women to do the same. None of these would be possible without the training and tools I won through my holistic nutrition studies.

What advice would you give others to receive certified through AFPA?

If you are thinking of becoming certified with AFPA I encourage you wholeheartedly to jump. AFPA programs are not just about acquiring knowledge. It is about transforming your own life while equipping you to help others do the same. My journey began with the desire to heal myself from food, stress and unsolved trauma.

Through the AFPA, I gained a deeper understanding of holistic well-being, nutrition and mind-body connection. The courses are complete, easy to use and have roots in practical tools that allow you to create a real change – for yourself and your customers. The most rewarding place is to combine your passion for health with a deliberate career. Whether you want to improve your own prosperity or help others browse their therapeutic paths, the AFPA gives you the foundation to have a substantial impact. Trust the process, invest in yourself and let this certification change your life.
