If you are looking for a weekend away with your partner, here are 14 romantic escapes to Virginia to consider!

I love a romantic getaway! Sometimes you can afford only one night because of the cost or care of children, and sometimes one night is all you need to get romance to go again! These points all over the state are all beautiful real estate of boutique to affordable that ensure that you have a restful night’s sleep and you have a lot to see and do.

Virginia is worth visiting for some romance?

“Virginia is for lovers” after all. Whether you are looking for a fancy hotel or a graphic B&B, there is a huge variety of hotels and rentals to choose from many with special romance packages. And you also have your choice of mountains or beach and everything in the meantime! Sit by the pool or go on hiking. Sip Virginia wine in wine country or hit a historic site – all while holding hands!

14 romantic escapes to Virginia

I have been to most of these qualities and I can guarantee their comforts and services. And I can’t wait to visit the few on our bucket list.

Farmhouse in Veritas

Built in 1836, this bed and breakfast can be just outside Charlottesville in Afton, Virginia. This beautiful farmhouse consists of six comfortable bedrooms with stunning views, events to accommodate weddings or party and is right next to Vineyard Veritas.

5-6 wine time every night. Your room also receives a free Veritas wine bottle with two glasses. They also offer four -course dinners, a farm on a table from Tuesday to Saturday including pairs of wine. We did a year ago and it was amazing! One thing that needs to be noted for dinners, however, do not allow children under 16.

Primland resort

This 12,000 acres estate is a hidden jewelry in the middle of western Virginia. We spent a weekend here a few years back with a big team and it was incredible. A Resort Auberge, the rooms are so luxurious and the food all over the property was also amazing. You can stay in the main accommodation, in a cottage, or even on a tree. Includes golf, a sports club with shoots and pheasants and a wellness spa with an indoor pool and a hot tub for use as well.

Keswick Hall & Spa

This luxurious property is just outside Charlottesville. It is a luxury Uber room hotel and the most beautiful overflow pool. Keswick is my spa in the city-the most beautiful spa with high quality products, an infrared sauna and a beautiful relaxation room. Threre’s gorgeous golf course and a new gym. Eat at the famous Marigold by Jean-Georges or Crawford’s, which serves cocktails and small menu plates.

The historic inn in the Oakdene

Built in 1893, this mansion is the most luxurious place to stay in the center of Staunton – about 30 minutes from Charlottesville. Built for former Lieutenant Edward Echols, the property features eight rooms with King-size bedding, toy room, two sunooms and an outdoor patio with fire tables. Is an inn of self -service inn Be still escapingAnd we liked to feel like staying in someone’s house. The bedding, beds and bathrooms were so nice and recently renovated. Visit the restaurants in downtown Staunton, nearby wineries, hiking trails and much more.

Jefferson Hotel

One of my favorite places to stay in Richmond is Jefferson Hotel, which is one of the most beautiful real estate in the city. You can choose between a room or a suite and the rooms are spacious and well -equipped. Enjoy breakfast or lunch at TJ’s restaurant and then drinks and dinner at Lemaire. Every Sunday, there is also a champagne brunch, as well as afternoon tea on Friday and Saturday. Jefferson has a gym, an indoor pool and also offers massage.

Cliftton

Located here in Cville, here we were married! You can either stay in the central house, which has B&B style rooms, or in one of the homes or fixed houses if you want more private secret and space. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the 1799 restaurant, which also has a wonderful rear terrace. (The copper bar has an amazing smoked old -fashioned old!). The spaces and gardens are very beautiful to walk. There is an overflow pool, a hot tub and even a hidden lake!

Williamsburg Inn

Williamsburg Inn is the jewelry of Colonial Williamsburg as a four -star luxury resort with 62 elaborate rooms available. The property was opened in 1937 and was scheduled and built by John D. Rockefeller Jr. Enjoy the room service, the gym, the high tea or the city direction for exciting historical points and entertainment. Eat at Rockefellers and enjoy a drink at Bar Restoration. The spa is also very, very nice and I liked a big massage there!

Iris Inn

If you are looking for a mountain getaway, Iris Inn near Waynesboro, Virginia is one of my favorite stays of all time! You have the choice of your rooms in the main inn or one of the cabins. We stayed in a cabin that was private, spacious, and everyone has their own jacuzzi! There is a spa in space, as well as breakfast and dinner in the lovely room (including breakfast!)

You take out the historic Staunton and Waynesboro and access to 28 different wineries, as well as hiking trails, the Shenandoah National Park and the houses of four different presidents. Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive are close to favorite hikes such as Humpback Rock and Crabtree Falls both within 30 minutes.

Inn in Willow Grove

If you are looking for peace and tranquility in the countryside, head to the inn at Willow Grove. Nestled in 40 acres in the middle of the Virginia countryside, the inn is located in Orange, Virginia (also at the Woodberry Forest School’s home if you have heard of it).

We stayed in one of the houses of Creekside, which was very nice! We had a terrace and a swing. If you are there in the summer, Promenade the Grounds and dip in the salty water pool Millhouse. They also have a complete spa in the area. Vintage Restaurant and Pub offers dinner and drinks, full breakfast and Sunday brunch.

The cottage

We’ve gone home several times and find it an all-in-one ownership. A renovation is also slowly undergoing, so while it still feels very vintage, the hospitality is modern and luxurious. The property is huge with many restaurants, shopping, golf and spa. The spa and traditions hot springs around him are one of the best features. Take a day pass or use facilities with any spa processing. Aqua thermal suite is quite fun!

Our Christmas season

The Georgas

Georges is a boutique Inn in Lexington, Virginia, about an hour by car from Charlottesville. So it’s the perfect spot for a romantic night off!

Georges opened in 2014 and spread out among many different historic buildings on Main Street in Lexington. There are 33 rooms and suites spreading between historic buildings that are uniquely designed with modern amenities to reflect the duality of the destination. There are two restaurants – The Piano Bar and Haywood Grill, the Inn signature restaurant across the street, and the fountains, the lobby bar and the living room serving small plates and drinks. The taps are also where breakfast is served.

My blog post for our stay!

Three romantic hotels I haven’t tried yet!

Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this is the place to stay in Virginia Beach. The Beach Club includes an overflow pool, private access to the beach, an outdoor bar and a climate -controlled lounge. Or relax in the SEAHILL SPA.

Salamander Resort and Spa

Located in Middleburg, just an hour outside the DC, this award -winning property is the first in the area to win the Forbes Five Star Award. There is a cavalry center on the ground, as well as tennis courts and golf and lawn games. I have heard that the spa is very nice!

GreenBrier resort

The GreenBrier Resort of West Virginia is another large, historical property (returning before the civil war in 1778!) This has so many activities. I can’t believe I wasn’t before! They have golf, swimming pools, spa, casinos, climbing tower, arcade, bowling, mountain biking, fishing, horse riding, indoor pool and much more!

Where are the most romantic places in Virginia you have?

Whether it is riding in the Blue Ridge mountains or you enjoy strawberries covered by chocolate with wine tasting, you are sure you will enjoy a romantic weekend getaway!
