Target Takes On Affordable Wellness (And We’re Here For It)

We are all about slow wellness here on the Blogilates team. Listening to our bodies, indulging in things that just FEEL good.

This was a little manifesto I wrote for our first start of the year.

This year, wellness for me looks like… finding movement that feels good to me and fits naturally into my schedule. It can be a run one day and a slow morning walk the next. I’m also trying to build more boundaries around my schedule so I can enjoy the few hours with my 4 year old between school pickup and bedtime.

And instead of (always) ending my days with my favorite Netflix show, I try to find a shift to softer evenings… lighting my favorite candle and journaling or reading a book.

Wellness for you may be very different from the ways I find wellness in my life. I feel like the word wellness is often labeled as a spa weekend, with a high price tag and crystals whose names you can’t pronounce. But really wellness is so, so much more (although we always love a little spa time). For our team, we’ve talked a lot about the word.

What does “wellness” mean to us?

Here are some keywords that came to mind in the group.

Warmth – The feeling of the sun on your face, a bowl of good soup that literally warms your soul.

Journey – Whether it’s a 10 hour flight or checking into a hotel 10 minutes away. You just have time to recharge in a new environment.

Purpose – This is big. Building a life of purpose and taking the time to make sure your daily life is based on your legacy and purpose.

Home – We are somehow all natives in the group. That’s why it’s so important to build a space that looks like a reflection of you and is functional for YOUR life.

Style – Okay, I won’t lie. wear POPFLEX 99% of the time. But I love trying to build more of a style and staple wardrobe (s/o to Nuuly because it helped me discover new things!).

Plants – Are plants the ultimate rubber of adulthood? Like, plants are the first thing I notice when I walk into someone’s house. If they have thriving foliage, I have great respect. Cassey’s Fiddle Leaves are serious targets.

It is the sum of the small daily moments that bring you joy. It’s building intention for the things that bring you happiness and peace, and a similar awareness of the things that rob you of those things (and building boundaries to protect yourself from those things).

Wellness is the mindset that it’s okay to take time for yourself and intentionally do things you enjoy. And for any of my moms out there, this can be especially hard to find the time to do.

And the best part? It costs $0 to take a walk around your neighborhood or seek out a free guided breath.

But honestly, lately, I’ve found myself being a little more indulgent about things that make me happy… and by indulge I don’t necessarily mean paying my paycheck. Instead, it’s more of a mindset that I’ve allowed myself to get things that yes, sure maybe I don’t “need”, but that make me happy. I don’t need to do girls math in a hair mask or a cozy blanket.

This is why my obsession with Target has literally tripled already this year as they announced that they are diving deeper into all things wellness. By deeper I mean literally 1,000 new Target wellness products! Yes. And they start at $1.99.

These are my 10 favorite wellness products at Target

1. The Blogilates Water Bottle Sling

BLOGILATES SHOP WATER BOTTLE SHOES

Hydration = wellness, and when you can tour around bottle in such a cute bag is unbelievable. (yes, that’s the viral bottle bag that sold out in 24 hours. And yes… it’s officially back).

2. A warm blanket

BUY FUCHS FUR BLANKETS

My favorite part of the weekend is movie nights with my 4 year old. We order takeout, snuggle up with a blanket, and there’s always, always dessert.

3. This Casaluna quilt

KALYPTICO LENON STORE

I make it my mission in life to do a better job of making my bed every day. And that started with me doing a little ✨transformation✨ to my linen closet last week. Cue: cozy comforters + fun sheets. And this may not technically be one of the Target wellness products, but it is wellness to me.

4. A Blogilates yoga mat

SHOP BLOGILATES YOGA MAT

Lately, I’ve been using my mat more for sound baths + breathing, and the jury is still out for me on these practices — I feel like I’ve had amazing experiences and the ones where I leave feeling anything but Zen. Regardless, this is my favorite mat for many reasons… but the main one is the vegan suede that literally feels like you’re putting on a cloud.

5. A luscious hair mask

HAIR MASK SHOP

This hair mask is now a staple in the shower with everything. I feel like my hair is growing like crazy but lately I’ve been feeling like an overgrown haystack and this mask leaves it shiny and smelling great. So. Good.

6. Bangles Bala

We love a matching moment and these Bala bracelets match Target’s new Stanley colors (I mean… this is next level).

7. Goop Daily Juice Cleanser

SHOP GOOP DAILY JUICE CLEANSE

The only way I can do my skincare is if it WAKES me up. And goop at Target excites me. Very. I can’t wait to try more from the range!

8. Lemme Glow

Lemme Glow Supplement for Hair Skin and Nails

To be very honest I’m not a complement girl. I feel like supplements had such a fad moment. Every influencer on FYP was promoting some of the latest supplements to me and I just didn’t buy them (literally or figuratively). But I’m giving it a second chance and I really love it Lemme!

9. Hearth & Hand clay mug

BUY MUG AT TARGET

Not to be dramatic, but my day is defined by the mug I drink my morning coffee from. There are only certain mugs that feel this comfortable, and this is one of my favorites.

10. French Cashmere Vanilla

I’ve been obsessed with perfume lately. Like I wear it to bed just because it makes me happy. Unrelated side note: my new absolute favorite way to buy perfume right now is these gift samples… you can keep all the samples and then ALSO get a full size of your choice.
