For the cold weather it runs when you need a pocket space, go for the thermal tights of Rei’s Swiftland, which provide plenty of pocket and warmth sections. With two large side pockets, a large back pocket in the middle of the back and two smaller waist pockets, have room for your phone, diet and all these extra layers that you cannot decide whether or not you will need.
FYI: While they have a brushed inner cloth for additional warmth, they are not full of fleece. So, in the coldest days, you may need to get even thicker.

Bra
Better overall: Brooks 3 Pocket Sports Bra
Advantages
- Rear pocket for phone, plus two side pockets for smaller objects
- Extremely supportive
- Comes in multiple cup sizes and entertaining colorways
In the aids
- Some reviewers had issues
Henry and her athletes swear by 3 Pocket Sports Bra, which has a back pocket for a phone and two side pockets for smaller items such as credit cards or keys. One reason why it is a blow: it is supportive, even when it is loaded with a phone. “It’s really high support, which is great because we had problems with finding a bra that supported enough while carrying things,” says Henry.
I have worn this bra during three marathon training cycles and I love that I can forget that my phone is still there. (During a marathon, I managed to push a gel in the back pocket with my phone.)
Some Brooks reviewers had problems with this bra, but I have only experienced the light that took very long trips (over 15 miles) on hot days. Another important advantage: 3 pocket sports bra comes in traditional bra sizes (and not just small, medium and large) so you can get a more customized application.

Better with front storage: Tracksmith Allston bra
Advantages
- Front pocket for phone, gels and other basics
- Without annoying removable cups
- Comfort without chafe
In the aids
- Pocket use may look a little weird
- Not too supportive for C+ Cups
When storing your phone on the back of your bra may seem more practical, you can’t beat the accessibility to have it right in front of you – Allston Bra proves it.
For me, the front pocket of this bra is ideal for storing one or two gel and although I was thinking at first, I found that it did not bounce or cause any chafing (as did many other Tracksmith reviewers). Note that this is a medium support bra, so it is probably not the best choice for larger breasts.

Better for Marathons: Bandit Stamina 6 Pocket Nova Crop
Advantages
- Four rear -size pockets, as well as two side -sized telephone pockets
- High coverage and high support
- Comfort without chafe
In the aids
- Thick fabric last a little to dry
The durability of Bandit 6 Pocket Nova Crop is in its own championship in terms of storing the sports bra. Made specifically for runners with a lot of diet, the bra has four perfect gel -shaped pockets (where they will not bounce or chafe), as well as two side pockets that are large enough to match a phone.
From the bra test, I can safely say that I will never run a long distance race that wearing anything else. My only concern was that storing a phone or gel in the side pockets would cause to hit as my hands turned back and forth. But I didn’t find that this was a problem at all, as I make sure that what I put in there was fully positioned in the pocket. Note: The fabric is thick enough and takes some time to dry, which may be less than ideal on hot days.

Shirts
Better Overall: Lululemon is Longue Rulu shirt
Advantages
- Front pocket for cash, cards, keys or a small gel
- Hot enough to run cold weather
- Reviewers love soft fabric
In the aids
- Too thick for warmer days
- Comes only black
It is very rare to find a current shirt with pockets – much less than you can really store things without bouncing around (since shirts tend to be less compressed than bra or bottom). But this from Lululemon, which is done for colder temperatures, has what it needs.
